
In partnership with NASA, the WEX Foundation offers New Worlds Await You – a high-quality STEM program offering National STEM Challenges. New Worlds Await You (NWAY) features a national network of in-school and after-school clubs that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Our focus is on high quality space exploration and architecture activities for middle school students.
With the development and implementation of space-STEM curriculum and programming, the NWAY program targets at-risk and underserved middle school students at 6th, 7th, and 8th grade age levels.

From launching rockets to designing colonies on the Moon and Mars, over 1,500 students across the nation have participated in the Communities In Schools of San Antonio Space Club program

Design Competition
The NWAY design competition will challenge middle school students to design a habitat on the Moon! Using unique features of a lunar lava tube students will brainstorm, problem solve and design a habitat – then build a model of their design using simple materials! Competition dates TBD.
